West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James has appointed Rebecca DeLaRosa Chief of Staff and Economic Development Director for the City of West Palm Beach. In this role, Ms. DeLaRosa will help advance Mayor James' agenda, assist on major initiatives, and direct economic development for the city.
Ms. DeLaRosa has more than 20 years of experience in legislative and government affairs and, most recently, worked as Legislative Affairs Director for Palm Beach County. She has held leadership positions directing legislative and business strategy for private firms, such as DLR & Associates, LLC, The Moya Group, and Greenberg Traurig, LLP. She has developed strategies in affordable housing and development, local government, health care, insurance, education, and transportation. She has also handled transportation and economic development appropriations and advocated for appropriations and policy development. Ms. DeLaRosa has also served as an analyst and aide in the Florida House of Representatives and has volunteered for several non-profit organizations, often as a Member of the Board.
