CONCORD, MA — Unofficial results for Concord's annual town election are in.
About 13 percent of registered voters in Concord, or 1,880 people, hit the polls on Thursday for the annual town election. Concord only had one contested race on the ballot which is the race for Select Board. There were two open seats for the Select Board, each holding a three-year term, and four candidates ran for the seats.
Incumbent and Select Board chair, Linda Escobedo held onto her seat on the board, earning one of the seats with 955 votes. Henry Dane earned the second seat with 802 votes.
An unexpected write-in emerged in the School Committee race for two open seats. The uncontested race between Courtland L. Booth and Tracey Marano but Todd Benjamin had a small write-in campaign that earned 59 votes. Booth and Marano won the race with 1,419 votes and 1,349 votes, respectively.
