Press release from Newtown Police Department: March 26, 2021 The Newtown Police Department is proud to continue our partnership with Special Olympics Connecticut in this year's virtual Penguin Plunge. The pandemic has highlighted the importance of supporting others and coming together as a community. The Newtown Police would like to continue to show our support for these amazing athletes, and we will be taking our plunge this year March 27. On Saturday 3/27/2021 at 0900 officers from the Newtown Police Department will be participating in a virtual Penguin Plunge for Special Olympics.
