MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown mother of two received a surprise this week when she tested positive for the coronavirus, just about a month after she received her second dose of the vaccine, according to FOX 61.
Gillian Plummer, an avid marathon runner, told FOX 61 that she had mild symptoms and her daughters – ages 3 and 7 – tested positive for the virus a few days earlier.
A Yale infectious diseases doctor told FOX 61 that a 95 percent efficacy means some vaccinated people could still contract COVID-19, but their symptoms would be mild.
