MANCHESTER, CT — In the game of culinary chicken at the Plaza at Buckland Hills in Manchester, Boston Market is moving over for Chick-fil-A. A placard adorned the front door of the Boston Market store Friday, simply stating the establishment was "closed permanently." Patrons were directed to "one of our other stores." Boston Market is known for its rotisserie-style chicken and fixings. Boston Market had occupied No. 1542 in the plaza. The connecting space at No. 1428 went vacant months ago when Starbucks moved across the plaza where a Mexican restaurant had stood. The sign on the door at the Manchester Boston Market Friday. (Chris Dehnel/Patch) Chick-file-A announced it was moving into both spaces last fall. The plans, submitted in September, are currently going through the local regulatory process. Plans call for a 5,105-square-foot Chick-fil-A. A new parking lot with drive-up lanes would be included, according to the plans.
