CONCORD, NH — Information, according to the U.S. Marshals Service, led investigators to quickly capture this week's New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week after he exited a bus in Tampa, Florida. James Giles Jackson III, a convicted armed home invader who shot a victim during a home invasion of a drug dealer in Massachusetts in 2009, was accused by the U.S. District Court in Concord of violating the conditions of his supervised release. A warrant was issued for his arrest in late January and the U.S. Marshals-New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force named him the fugitive of the week on Wednesday. After that, information flowed in to investigators. "(It) was developed that he had fled New Hampshire and was en route to Florida," according to Jeffrey White, a deputy U.S. Marshal. "This information was forwarded to our U.S. Marshals counterparts in Tampa, Florida." When Jackson's bus pulled into the depot in Tampa on Thursday, marshals were waiting for him and he was arrested. He was transported to the Pinellas County FL Jail, where he was booked and held pending his initial court appearance in U.S. District Court in Tampa. "This hearing will be a warrant of removal hearing, during which it will be decided if Jackson will remain in custody until he is returned to New Hampshire to face his supervised release violations," White said. Along with the Massachusetts home invasion case, Jackson, 32, was convicted of a burglary out of Epsom in October 2008.
