Description

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire Fish & Game Department divers found the remains of a missing Massachusetts woman in Ossipee Lake on Friday. Around 2 p.m., Sinead Lyons, 41, was found and then, her identity was confirmed by a state medical examiner. Lyons had been missing since March 12 when she was seen walking her dog, Flossie, near the lake at Constitution Park. The dog was also reported missing, according to press reports. Before she went missing, she told friends she was driving to the Ossipee-Effingham area. Investigators also thought she could also be in the North Conway area. The Conway Daily Sun reported that state police and fish and game have been at the lake searching for Lyons since mid-March when police in Ossipee found her Volvo station wagon in the parking lot. Investigators and searchers used walkers, divers, an airboat, drones, a helicopter, and K-9 units to search the park and area around the lake. State police believe there is no danger to the public. "The New Hampshire State Police would like to thank the public for providing information leading to her discovery and to our partners in public safety who assisted in several coordinated searches," Lt. James Fogarty of Troop E, said. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected]. View videos on Tony Schinella's YouTube.com channel or Rumble.com channel.
