JOLIET, IL —A Will County judge has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of 37-year-old Joliet resident Robert G. Heintz on one count of unlawful delivery of controlled substances, heroin. This week, Will County Judge Ed Burmila has set bail at $200,000 for Heintz, who resides in the 3000 block of Tyler Drive. The Joliet Police Department's criminal complaint states that Heintz was involved in selling heroin on Sept. 9, 2019. According to Will County court records, Heintz was released from the Illinois Department of Corrections in May 2017 after being sentenced to four years of imprisonment by a Will County judge in 2015 after being convicted of felony theft charges. In the 2015 crime, Heintz stole construction materials and sold them for scrap, court records show. He also has criminal convictions from 2009 for residential burglary, 2008 for possession of drug paraphernalia and 2002 for theft, court documents show. As of March 26, Heintz had not been captured by authorities in Will County.
