Montco Announces Inspection Schedule For County Bridges

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Montgomery County has announced its schedule for bridge inspections around the county over the coming year. The work is usually performed form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. Some pre-inspection bridge work, including minor repairs, will take place leading up to the inspections. Motorists are warned to consider the inspections when planning travel. "Our pre-inspection work typically results in some traffic delays," Thomas O'Brien, Administrator for Roads and Bridges, said in a statement. "Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas because slowdowns may occur." In addition to inspections, the county is designing 20 other active bridge projects, has 10 slated for construction, and has begun construction on three, they said.
