DAKOTA COUNTY, MN— The Dakota County Board of Commissioners approved three finalists to replace Jim Backstrom, who retired due to health issues, at their Tuesday meeting, The Pioneer Press reported.
The finalists include:
Kathryn Keena, acting county attorney for Dakota CountyElizabeth Lamin, an assistant attorney for Ramsey CountyTom Pugh, a retired Minnesota district court judgeThe election to fill this position will be Nov. 8, 2022, and the four-year term will begin Jan. 2, 2023, The Pioneer Press reported.
Public interviews of the finalists will occur in late April or early May, county spokeswoman Mary Beth Schubert told The Pioneer Press.
