AURORA, IL — The inaugural Police Civilian Review Board in Aurora will get up and running over the next few months, after the City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved nine residents' nominations to serve on the panel. The first nine members of the board were chosen from a field of more than 130 applicants. Mayor Richard Irvin named 40 semifinalists in January. He then worked with aldermen and Aurora organizations to trim that lists to 20 finalists, who were each interviewed by the mayor.
