Take The Startup Train from South Bend to Chicago to practice sharing ideas, understand customers, & build businesses. Starting at Headquarters to share community, we will pitch and team up. As teams meet each other, discuss their ideas, and brain dump onto each other, we all will board the train at South Bend departing for MillenNium Station at Grant Park. On the train we will create the framework for what we want our company, its product, and service offerings. The train has food, drinks, and wifi : ) Heading west from EST to CST teams will gain one hour - squeeze the life out of your extra hour! When we arrive in Chicago the task will be to perform customer validation - head downtown, colleges, into the park, around the loop, down to Hyde Park, up to Lincoln Park Zoo, or down the river. At a predetermined time, teams will reconvene at 1871 to finalize their pitch deck and begin practicing their final pitch. Judges will convene and final pitches will commence. Prizes and awards will be handed out on various topics. Lets hangout at a bar afterwards, muck it up, and get to know each other. Hope to bring a fun atmosphere and memories.
