Signs of Spring Nature Walk at Eliza Howell Park with Leonard Weber
Come explore one of Detroit's natural gems - Eliza Howell Park with 250 acres of preserved land in the flood plane of the Rouge River as we look for signs of spring!
Detroit Parks and Recreation and local Naturalist Leonard Weber will guide participants on the unique plant and animal life of the park. We will look for a variety of spring flowers and keep our eyes and ears out for migrating birds utilizing this important habitat.
We will meet about halfway around the 1 mile park road loop. Look for a small orange car. Please wear durable shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
This will be a distanced-outdoors event with limited capacity, so pre-registration is required. Please wear a mask and stay home if you are displaying any COVID symptoms or have had exposure in the past two weeks.
