There is one opening with Yakima County Public Services, Solid Waste. This position provides safe and smooth daily operations of Solid Waste Division facilities through the use of mechanical, facility and grounds maintenance troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED plus two years of previous maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Required: WA State Driver’s License at time of appointment and proof of insurance, if requested. Preferred: Desired position requirements to be obtained within one year of hire: Certified Flagger, Certified Forklift Operator. Successful completion of criminal background investigation.
