Harbor Terrace is a beautiful Independent, Assisted Living Care facility located in San Pedro. We are a non-medical building that provides excellent care. We strive every day to be a great place to work and a great place to live. Come join our team! We are looking for a skilled, experienced maintenance technician. The ideal candidate should be familiar with all types of maintenance jobs needed in an apartment building. Our building is in San Pedro, California. Job duties will include but not limited to: • Completion of repairs, turnovers and renovation of apartments. • Minor plumbing; clearing drains, basic installation of toilets, sinks, faucets, shower heads, etc. • Minor electrical; changing out outlets, replacing lights bulbs/ballast. • Interior/Exterior Painting projects, as needed. • Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools. • Be able to effectively communicate with staff, supervisor to ensure safe operation of property maintenance. • Performs regular inspections of the property and notifies management of maintenance problems and recommends solutions. • Updates management regularly to report status of all scheduled work and work needed to maintain property in pristine condition. • Be punctual, clean cut and honest. • A positive and motivated attitude. • Available for after hours/emergency as needed. Requirements: • Minimum two (2) years relevant facility/apartment maintenance experience. • Background clearance is required (per government regulations). • Fingerprint clearance as required through the DOJ & FBI. • Current TB test. • Current California Driver’s License, vehicle insurance and clean DMV record. • Must be able to lift heavy items safely. • Must be able to speak & write English. • High School Diploma. • Must be at least 18 years old • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
