As a Lot Porter / Detailer, your role is to help the service department detail boats & move the boats safely around the dealership. To help with the final clean up of service boats prior to customer pick up and to have the service boats out and ready for the customers when they come to pick up their boats. Additionally, the Lot Porter / Detailer is to help the Sales Manager with the movement of boats for sale and with the maintenance of the boats so there are clean and ready for sale. Also, to keep the sales area organized and clean and so it leaves a positive impression on current and prospective customers. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Unloading of boats, trailers and engines • Safely operating Forklift and moving boats as needed • Keeping boats on the sales lot clean and neatly arranged • Detailing of customer boats as per the work order • Detailing of sold boats as scheduled • Setting up display boats daily • Keeping the lot and showroom areas clean and tidy • Daily clean-up of shop and disposal of trash • Moving boats into and out of the service area & getting them in place for the service techs • Assist Service Techs when they need an extra hand • Assist customers while they drop off and pick up boats – service and sales areas • Clean/detail service boats after repairs (when applicable) Hours are M-F from 8AM-5PM
