I have been a lifelong victim of my emotionally and psychologically abusive family for 40+ years. Also a victim of child abuse. Because I am socially isolated there is little hope for me I think. I'm not suicidal, my coping is to disassociate in technical terms and of course blame myself. I'm not interested in talking about my abuse or getting advice as much as just needing people in my life who are not abusive. I am a little more comfortable being friends with females sometimes but I want friends of both sexes.
