Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 530 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 107-acre campus, seeks a hard-working professional to join our maintenance and grounds crew. The focus of this position is to create a country club look and feel in our rural environment. Past experience in irrigation is a plus. Basic maintenance experience is a plus. Qualifications 2+ years of previous grounds experience and 1 year of maintenance experience. Basic mowing landscaping abilities with flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees. Ability to life 50 pounds occasionally Ability to handle difficult physical labor 8 hours a day Ability to obtain a Colorado Driver’s License Ability to walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time Basic computer skills High school diploma or GED required. Duties Basic maintenance work to include basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical Plant and tend to flowers, plant, shrubs, and trees as directed Maintain school grounds, including school orchard and athletic fields Monitor and adjust irrigation systems regularly. Repair leaks and breaks. Keep pumps and pump house in order Regularly clean outside building entries and general trash pick-up throughout campus Mowing as needed Snow removal Event set-up Additional duties as deemed necessary by Superintendent This is an hourly, full-time position, Monday-Friday. The hourly range is $15-18.50. Benefits include: medical, dental, life, 401(k) and time-off.
