Lifeguard Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck & surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with Club policies and procedures. Pool open from May 28- September 6. 10:00 AM– 8:00 PM. Swimsuits, uniform and employee meal will be provided. Responsibilities: • Maintains active surveillance of the pool area. • Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with Club policies & procedures. • Maintains effective, positive relationships with members, guests, and other staff. • Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed. Daily cleaning of pool. • Checks the pools for hazardous conditions when arriving. • Performs some minor housekeeping duties when not guarding, as required. • Attends all staff meetings & in service trainings. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be 17 years of age. • Certifications must include: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification • Ability to maintain certification level of physical and mental readiness. • Must demonstrate lifeguard skills. • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
