Simon is a 9 year-old, neutered tabby who was found outside as a tiny kitten. We took him in when he was still a kitten and the person who found him couldn’t care for him properly. He loves people more than anything else and will do whatever it takes for a quick pet. Simon loves to be the center of attention, nudging anyone available for chin scratches and jumping from lap to lap. On a regular day, he loves to curl up for snuggles with his people, sit in the window, and chase his laser pointer around the house. He also enjoys patrolling the backyard, playing with his stuffed animals, and sleeping next to mom and dad while they work. Simon is a stereotypical funny cat and is highly motivated by affection and treats. He is also very good at catching mice. The ideal home for Simon would be a very loving home where he is the only cat. Despite being an incredible companion to my husband and me, he demonstrates dominant and aggressive behaviors with our other cat. It has become a safety issue as our other cat has gotten older. We love Simon very much and could never take him to a shelter or give him to a home where we didn’t intuitively feel that he will be cared for and loved. We are hopeful that the right owner or family is out there, looking for a very best boy (who will be the only cat in the house). Several years back, he experienced a urinary blockage and must eat prescription food (Royal Canin SO Urinary), for which a vet provides a prescription. We will provide an 18lb bag of this food, as well as a litter box and litter if needed upon adoption. Simon has a vet appointment on April 6 and will be up-to-date with all shots after that. He has been fully litter box trained since we’ve had him and he has never had an accident inside the house.
