Immediate Opening for an Experienced Ocean and Rail Container DISPATCHER in NW Houston MUST have at least 2 years of Port and Rail yard container dispatch experience Will be performing variety of dispatching functions such as building loads in system Track and communicate all movements of load Close out load and enter final changes. Need to understand weights and dimensions of product Will be finding and booking the correct equipment to move materials/product Extensive communications with transportation companies and their drivers and excellent customer service. Critical skills - Attention to detail, excellent organization and communication, multitask, follow up, etc. Must be able to work under pressure with tight shipping deadlines. Should have experience working in logistics office interacting with various levels of staff and management. Computer literate for ACCURATE data entry. ITS Dispatch System experience a plus! Should be flexible to overtime and weekends as needed to meet client needs. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
