Position Title: Materials Clerk Wage: $15-$18/hour Shift: 1st Hours: Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pm + some OT Friday Looking to work for a company with a passion for innovation and growing their employees as well as their business? Look no further! We are hiring for a Materials Clerk position for a great client in Oregon, who is one of the largest manufacturers of steel self-storage systems with over 115 years of experience. They pride themselves in providing quality products to their customers as well as rewarding and fulfilling lifetime careers for their employees. This is a temporary role on 1st shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Receive, put away, and turn in packing slips for all deliveries - Retrieve and stage materials for jobs, returns, and/or service - Stage bill of materials for future jobs for movement to next assigned location, to include the Buy Out materials - Unload incoming materials inclusive of verification of quantities against the purchase order, packing slip and a detailed count of actual product for a 3-way match; all discrepancies to be identified i.e. quantity, type, color variation, part number, damage/quality, and etc. - Turn in packing list and purchase order on all materials to be receipted same day as receipt - Move all materials on a timely basis to proper identified location - Keep materials/receiving area clean and orderly - Coordinate with suppliers to resolves discrepancies - Initiate purchase orders to maintain adequate inventory of all stock materials, shop supplies, tools, and etc. on a daily basis Requirements: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - Ability to pass a forklift certification (prior forklift experience preferred) - Ability to work well and communicate clearly with others - Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge - Familiarity with power tools and general construction concepts and the ability to read a tape measure - Detail-oriented and accurate - Valid driver's license Please email resume with contact information or apply online at: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with nearly 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
