We are a family owned and operated heavy civil construction company based in Oregon. We specialize in government contracted road, highway, and airport construction, as well as retaining walls and small structures. We work with owners to deliver an excellent service throughout the state on varying sizes of projects. Our aim every day is to deliver a superior experience in professionalism, safety, value, and workmanship. We are looking for an experienced, reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. We are seeking career-oriented and dedicated individuals who have an optimistic outlook to new challenges and projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS Inspects assigned equipment prior to operation on a daily basis and reports any issues to supervisor Safely operates assigned equipment, including dozers, graders, hydraulic excavators, and other heavy equipment Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards Follows all safety and security procedures Performs other duties as assigned Able to work independently Able to sit for long periods of time Must have good spatial and relational perception Able to use basic hand tools Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair pieces of heavy equipment Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds Able to work in environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, odors, dust, and noise. Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and/or overtime Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc. Must be willing to travel (Projects range throughout the state of Oregon) QUALIFICATIONS Must be insurable through our carrier Neat, clean, and professional appearance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and others High school diploma or GED required Two years of recent experience required, five years preferred Able to operate hydraulic excavators, graders, dozers, and rollers Able to operate profiler a plus Able to read and interpret plans Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces Able to use grade-checking equipment Able to work independently with minimal supervision Knowledge of commercial construction Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc. Drug Free at all times Safety training certifications a plus BENEFITS Weekly Pay Prevailing wage Medical/Dental/Vision/401K *We are an Equal Opportunity Employer with a dedicated team.
