Monday - Friday, 6AM - 2:30 PM Must enjoy working outside, can communicate well with customers and governmental contacts, have good science and math skills and have pride in their work. The service technician will visit each account and will perform each of the following tasks: 1. Demonstrate integrity, accountability, respect and commitment to DWI. 2. Demonstrate excellence in managing all functions of the job; focus on job execution and achieving results. 3. Demonstrate best practices in professional relationships. 4. Prevent the growth of undesirable aquatic plants, submerged and emergent plants and algae growth by physically removing or treating the aquatic environment using approved aquatic products. 5. Ensure each aquatic environment is free of dead waterfowl and fish, debris and trash. 6. Effectively communicate with fellow technicians, office personnel and customers. 7. Maintain communication with Homeowners Associations, Golf Courses, Apartments and other referral sources in the community to grow DWI business. 8. Write recommendations regarding status of property’s aquatic environment, to include recommendation of beneficial plants and/or fish. 9. Clean all skimmer and intake baskets; brush rocks, waterfalls and shoreline in waterscapes, to remove algae. 10. Survey water features and make determination regarding the use and proper application of aquatic treatment products. 11. Water analysis (DO, pH, Ammonia, etc.) 12. Check all pump equipment if pumps are in need of repair 13. Dispose of all debris in proper manner. Follow instructions for disposal at all times as it varies with each property. 14. Check water levels on all bodies of water & report any major loss of water in writing. 15. Notify, in writing, the corporate office of any problems or safety issues regarding a client property that day. 16. Maintain vehicles by performing the following: regularly wash, see to it the vehicle receives regular maintenance, organize and clean interior, check the water, oils and fluid levels weekly. 17. Keep tools, parts and equipment neat and orderly and accounted for in inventory. 18. Maintain organized and clean working environment in shop. 19. Complete daily logs & weekly summaries 20. Be aware of after hours emergency calls (weekdays after hours or weekends). 21. Prepare and maintain correspondence, documents, spreadsheets and files. 22. Work overtime as required and handle additional administrative projects as assigned. 23. Operate a forklift in a safe and prudent manner. Perform incidental duties as required. 24. Work out in the hot California sun with boats and other equipment. In order to be successful at DWI, a member of the crew: a. Sets and meets annual performance and development goals; applies DWI processes and methodologies to perform work; demonstrates flexibility by supporting special requests and projects; complies with DWI policies and procedures; utilizes DWI’s systems and resources to achieve optimal results. f. Is a highly motivated individual that works well on their own as well as being a strong team player; is highly organized, detailed-oriented, outgoing and pleasant; has a great attitude and strong ethics; is comfortable speaking with the public. In addition, a lead technician or manager will be expected to have: · Fundamental-level proficiency in the English language and writing technique, including rules of punctuation, spelling, grammar and proofreading. · Fundamental-level proficiency in MS Office Suite Orange County Crew ONLY – Once trained will perform the following: Manufacture water treatment products, packaging, labeling, palletizing, loading and occasional delivery. Job Requirements: A 2-year Environmental Science or a 4-year BS degree in Science is preferred, but not required. Must possess a valid California Driver's License with no more than 1 point. Mechanical abilities and experience with boats, trucks and equipment is very helpful! We may perform criminal background checks, motor vehicle record checks and drug screening. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
