We have an outstanding Direct Hire position for a Mechanical/Wiring Assembly Technician to join a leading Company located in the Smyrna, TN surrounding area. We are looking for anyone who can read and understand drawings, written instructions and has manual dexterity. Electricians, Mechanics, and Detail Techs are welcome to apply. No previous Assembly experience required. Details: • The pay is between $18-$21 Hr. (pay will be based on experience). • Direct Hire Position (90-day probation period). • 2nd shift, 3:15pm-1:30am. • Seeking talented individuals with a strong work ethic to be part of our manufacturing team in Smyrna. • We currently have opportunities for Assembly and wiring of our metal-enclosed product line to prepare for the test and final inspection. • Must have excellent organizational skills. • Strong attitude with problem-solving skills. • We would prefer individuals who want to advance (technically or in leadership). Qualifications: • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. • High school diploma or GED required. • Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as a background check to the satisfaction of the Company. • We are seeking candidates with a solid work record of safety, job performance, and attendance. Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory): • Good understanding of blueprints/schematics and wiring experience. • Experience in reading drawings and working with electrical equipment. • Experience using various tools including manual/electric/pneumatic tools, templates/fixtures, hand carts, measuring devices, and prescribed safety equipment. Physical Demands: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. • The employee is frequently required to climb and reach above shoulder level. • The employee is regularly required to lift/carry up to 40 pounds. • The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to 40 pounds. • The employee is occasionally required to push/pull greater than 40 pounds with assistance.
