Job Description Growing construction company looking for hardworking, dependable and punctual individuals to fill a permanent carpenter's helper position. Ideal candidates have 2 years carpentry experience and a general understanding in the use of carpentry tools, framing, experience with deck installation is a plus. Those applying must have a valid driver's license and transportation to and from work sites located in the Lake County and Northern Cook County and have the ability to travel on short assignment occasionally. This is an excellent opportunity for a right candidate to join a growing company and have advancement opportunities. Skills Required General laborer General Construction Skills May be required to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis Working Knowledge of hand and power tools Knowledge of framing techniques Able to read construction drawings Self-Starter, prompt and professional Skills not required but desired Experience with residential deck construction Experience with deck material installation Ability to understand and work with new products Customer relations Estimating Acceptable applicants should enjoy working outdoors, demonstrate their ability to be part of a team, understand how to work quickly, be mindful of safety regulation and have the ability to follow instruction. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. We're looking to add a member who is motivated to learn and grow with the company.
