Description
Small paint-by-number kit business in need of a fast and accurate Product Assembly Associate to join a small staff at a storefront workshop in Milwaukie! (Initially a work-from-home position). Covid safety protocols are top priority. Vaccination, when possible, will be required. Elle Crée’s Brand Mission: We produce products (currently paint-by-number kits) primarily for women and girls to create and participate in self-care. We work to cultivate an informed customer base that takes ownership of their purchasing decisions and the environmental and social impact those decisions make. We seek to reduce our impact on the environment by carefully sourcing components that are eco-friendly and locally made. We are striving to bring our products to the marketplace in a responsible way and we seek partnerships with resellers who have a shared brand mission and purpose. Elle crée supports relevant causes which enhance our mission by donating net 5% of profits to social and environmental causes. We strive for green business practices in our workplace and as close to zero waste as possible. Please only apply if you are interested in supporting this mission. Learn more about elle crée here: Position: Product Assembly Associate Hours: 16-20 hours a week, with possibility of more hours. (Initially a work-from-home position) Compensation: $15/hour Please reply to this email to express interest and include resume. Interviews will occur between Tuesday, March 30th – Thursday, April 1st. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION – PLEASE READ: This Product Assembly Associate position is currently a work-from-home position that pays $15/hour based on a time estimate of how long the assigned tasks should take (pay-per-piece). It would require pick/up and drop/off from our Main Street Milwaukie location 4-5 times a week. The take-home work is bulky and transported in multiple tubs, so having your own transportation is essential. We’re looking for someone with high attention to detail and the ability to work fast with accuracy who would like to do 16-20 hours of work a week and might have the capacity to work up to 24-28 hours a week during peak times of the year (as projects arise, but specifically late summer through the holidays). The assembly position entails folding, stickering, matching and taping down components, and general assembly. It is very intense on hands and wrists. This will not be a good fit for anyone with hand and wrist sensitivities as the folding and assembling tasks will make those worse. We provide wrist braces to wear and we rotate tasks as much as possible to prevent repetitive stress issues. The position begins with a 30-day trial period during which training will occur in-house. Training times are flexible, but generally will be 3-4 hours a day, 3-5 days a week throughout the trial period. Take home work will be assigned during this trial period as well. If training benchmarks are met, position will become a permanent hire. Covid-safety is a priority in our work space. We’re looking to hire individuals that are following all State and County guidelines in their personal lives. We require masks. We also employ social distancing, hand washing and ventilation, and we don't allow eating inside the workplace. All employees must sign a Covid Safety Agreement which requires you to disclose potential Covid-exposure for yourself or others in your household. Covid exposure requires quarantining and testing. Vaccination will be required when available for your age/risk-group. Please only apply if you are willing to be vaccinated. Once our staff has been able to get vaccinated, we hope to add work-from-home staff back into the workplace. Hopefully this will be a possibility by mid-late summer. Working from home may still be a possibility if that is preferred.
