Full time farmhand position available on 40 acre farm in Brookshire, TX. This position is set up to be a long term arrangement and we are looking for the right person for the job! Nonsmoker preferred. Job Description: You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the farm. We have 2 great danes, sheep, pigs, rabbits, milk cow, chickens, cats, and will continually be adding/removing animals to the overall “herd” of the farm. You will be responsible for 100% of their care, (feeding, watering, hay, rotational grazing, teeth clipping, medication, milking, and MORE). This includes the daily cleaning of 10-20 rabbit cages. You will be dispatching and processing animals, mending fences, digging trenches, mowing/weed eating, small machinery maintenance, brush clearing, and MORE. This position is not a 9 to 5 job, it’s a lifestyle. There is lots of hard work at a fast pace and you will need to be a self motivatior. Requirements: Must pass drug test. Must live on-site. Must have a valid driver’s liscense and personal vechile-farm truck is available for farm use. Must be in good physical shape to handle animals, machinery, and feeds. Must provide 2 professional references. Must be able to build basic structures. Must not run scared from snakes and mosquitoes! Must be free of personal drama that will affect your work performance. Compensation: The salary for this position is VERY competitive as we are looking for the right person for a long term arrangement. *Pay is on the 1st and the 15th of each month. The first month is $1000. The second month is $1200. The third month and beyond are $1500. *600 sq. ft.
