Duties & Responsibilities; Assist in the installation & maintenance of waterfeatures and landscape plantings. NO GRASS CUTTING. Excavation of the waterfeature, hook up plumbing on the waterfeature, install liner & underlayment, assist in placing rock & gravel in waterfeature, install aquatic plants, wash rock & gravel of dirt & debris, trim & hide liner, install underwater lighting, thoroughly clean up jobsite. Installation of landscape plants & other landscape materials. Assist with the loading & unloading of trucks & trailer with products, equipment & tools. Perform waterfeature clean outs as needed. Communicate with clients in a friendly & helpful manner. Report maintenance issues with equipment/trucks/tools to foreman and owner Keep truck/trailer and construction areas neat & organized. Maintain & keep correct inventory of tools needed for jobs. Drive pick- up trucks and small/medium size dump trucks (non CDL) Comply with company safety policy, procedures & practices. Participate in company events as needed. Attend educational seminars & events to further your education & abilities. Special projects as requested. Ready & willing to do other tasks as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – ALL POSITIONS Mature – Reliable – Organized – Honest – Detail Oriented. Ideal candidate will be polite, creative, self motivated, able to follow directions, attention to details, & a team player. Must be 18 years or older. Social Security card or work authorization permit required. Valid & CLEAN NJ drivers license. Available to work Monday – Friday 6:00am – 8:00pm & weekends as needed. (We normally work 7:00am - 5:00pm but you may need to work later to complete a job) Must have own reliable transportation to & from our yard. Able to lift up to 85lbs throughout the work day. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel & squat throughout the work day. Willing to get hands dirty & work outside under adverse weather conditions. Safety conscious. Good communication skills – must be able to read, write & speak English Prior experience in landscape construction work (minimum 2 years verifiable experience) Will consider Trade school student in place of work experience. ADDITIONALLY REQUIRED FOR FORPERSON POSITION Prior experience in landscape construction & managing crew members (minimum 5 years verifiable experience) Must be able to drive NON CDL truck & trailer combination. (Minimum 2 years experience) PLUSES Experience operating skidsteers, mini excavators &other equipment. Knowledge of waterfeature industry. Building & Maintaining eco-system based waterfeatures. Experience in Bluestone patios & walkways installation. Experience in Natural Rock retaining wall installation. (Boulders and stack stone) Use Transit & set grades.
