We are seeking teammates for our Operations Team including Dock Hands and an Assistant Operations Manager. Positions are at our marina in Lake Hopatcong and offer a fun and challenging chance to work around the water with a great team, fun guests, and of course, boats. Bridge Marina is a hospitality-focused, recreation-based marina including dock slips, boat sales, boating club, boat rentals, gas dock, and service department. As part of the Operations Team, you will be working primarily in the operations of our boat rentals, boating club, and dock slip services. You must be interested and able to assist with anything needed at the marina that helps our guests or your teammates. You must be interested in and capable of learning from others and performing well on a team. Depending on your position you may be leading other teammates as well. Work is both indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather. Experience on and around boats is terrific, sought out and may allow you advancement. However, boating experience is not required as we have trained many people new to boating who are now essential parts of our team. Some Operations Team tasks are: • Communicating with guests to determine needs and then acting to support guests. • Helping guests come and go from the marina by land or by water by carrying items, covering boats, landing boats, and similar. • Boat preparation including cleaning, systems checks, assist in launching, hauling, moving, and similar. • General tasks and checklists to ensure boats and marina are clean and safe. • Other tasks such as pumping gas, working with a register, checking boats for condition and equipment, and maintaining the facility. Opportunities for experienced applicants and or Assistant Manager, or tasks you may be trained as you advance: • Providing advice or orientations for boaters. • Operating boats in the marina or elsewhere on the water body. • Operating marina vehicles, tractors and trailers or performing minor mechanical tasks. • Guest sales and or advanced guest development • Assist in oversight of other teammates, gas dock operations, parking areas, and marine store. Part-time and full-time available. Seasonal and permanent positions available. Advancement readily available. Weekend availability is required for both PT and FT. We are open 7 days a week from May-September including holidays and 5 days a week remainder of year. Applicant must be able to swim. Compensation varies based on ability and experience; range is $12-$17 per hour, plus gratuities.
