Seeking Facilities Groundskeeper for Vacation Rentals

The Brush Mountain Lodge in Spring Mills and Mount Nittany Lodge in Centre Hall is seeking a groundskeeper and maintenance person to help care for and maintain both vacation rental properties. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Groundskeeping & Maintenance tasks: Operate power equipment; leaf blowers, weed trimmers, lawn mowers, power sprayers etc. Landscape with mulch and stone, weed, water, plant, administer insecticides and pesticides Develop and maintain property ponds and streams Drywall repair and painting Minor plumbing repairs; leaking faucets and drains and basic toilet repairs Minor appliance troubleshooting; replace dryer belts, repair leaking dishwasher, etc. Repair and replace door knobs and locks Repair fireplace flue dampers Responsibilities: Perform a variety of groundskeeping tasks as well as basic facility maintenance Ensure all areas of both properties are inspected and cared for Notify management of damages and inventory deficits Adhere to rules regarding health and safety and follow all company-related practices Requirements: Work safely and efficiently with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance Mechanical, maintenance and troubleshooting skills Have strong prioritization and time management skills Be physically fit; able to lift 100 lbs, comfort using ladders and ability to remain active for the duration of a shift Job: Part time: +/- 25 hours/week Candidates with experience in most of these areas are preferred, however, those with aptitude and an eagerness to learn are welcome to apply.
