Hi, I'm Bean! I'm a spunky little guy that loves to run and play and hang out with my favorite people. I don't know a stranger as I love to make new friends. At only a year old, I am still learning my manners, but I love to sit for a treat and walk on a leash! I love toys, but my favorite is a plush dog that I'll run around with super fast and throw in the air. Our process: If you are interested in Bean or any of our adorable adoptables, please fill out an adoption application from our website. If we feel it's a good match, we can make plans for a meet and greet at one of our twice-monthly trips to Chesapeake, or you can schedule a visit at the shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
