If you are into playing classic rock or nu-country, look no further, just hit the back button. Just moved to Salisbury, all I'm seeing is good old boy salt of the earth country rock and it's making me ill. I'm an angry young man who has grown into an angry old man but with a difference, because I have a drum machine. Who wants to play electronic music and watch the world die together? I reiterate that I have no money, no talent, no good looks and a very bad attitude. But I'm extremely polite.
I guess my favorite influences are old stuff like Negativeland, Skinny Puppy, Steve Albini, David Byrne, as well as lots of hippie stuff like the Greatful Dead and Trey. And Tangerine Dream, Sasha, various trance, disco, just tons and tons of stuff, including listening to old eps of the Hour of Slack. I guess I'm primarily into sampling, looping, and at present I'm having difficulty not wanting to use music to express my frustration and sorrow at a race driving headlong into extinction and not even caring.
I don't have any ambition to play around here, but maybe playing on youtube for a start might be a good objective to aim for.
