We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish and English) Laundry Attendant for our store located at 113 East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx. Laundry Attendant Responsibilities: Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items. Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures. Tracking which items belong to whom. Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and other items. Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment. Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times. Anticipating and responding to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints. Helping Customers with Card machine as needed. Managing the use of the Dryers to prevent and resolve conflicts between customers. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous but not required. Prior experience in a similar role is Absolutely required. Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment. Ability to stand for long periods. Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds unaided. Basic arithmetic skills. Able to use the computer and learn basic tasks quickly. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Personable disposition with a knack for customer service. Available to work shifts and on weekends. MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES. No Exceptions. Note: There is a 9 hour unpaid training spread over 3 days where you will work with existing staff to learn our processes. If you're a good fit, the job is yours. The shift we are looking to fill is: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:30pm to 10:30pm Total Shift: 32 hours/week Compensation: $15/hour Salaries are paid bi-weekly.
