Come catch your chance to get hooked on fishing! Columbus Metro Parks and ECRN+ are excited to offer a 90- minute, Free, Inclusive, In-Person Fishing activity! WHEN Tuesday, April 6th Fishing Session 1 - 10:30am to 11:15am OR Session 2 - 11:15am to 12pm (Please choose only ONE session). **All attendenees will need a ticket. All participants should arrive at the park by 10:30 am regardless of their session time. We will be completing a 'fishing' themed craft when families are not fishing. WHO All abilities welcome! Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will only have 9 participants per session. WHERE Blacklick Woods Metro Park 6975 E Livingston Ave, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 Please note, we will meet at Ashton Pond which is the first parking area on the left when you enter the park. NOTES • The Metro Parks encourage the wearing of a mask or other facial covering when visiting one of our parks or trails. Metro Parks also encourages individuals to wear masks outside and when the six-foot guideline cannot be consistently followed (e.g. parking lots and trail heads). • Borrowed (sanitized) fishing gear and supplies (pole, reel, bait, etc.) will be provided. One shared pole per family/group. • No experience is required! Our Metro Parks Naturalist will provide fishing instruction and demonstration. • We will be decorating a wooden fish craft. Supplies will be provided. • Parents/Guardians must stay with their child at all times. We encourage family participation! • Fishing dock is accessible to individuals using wheelchairs, gait trainers, etc. • In the event of inclement weather, the outing will be canceled and rescheduled. Register today to reserve your spot! REMINDERS • The fishing area is located in the sun. We recommend your child and family wear sun protection (sunscreen, hat, etc). • Restrooms are available but do not have running water. Please bring any extra water you may need. • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes ideal for the weather.
