Job Summary
Sets up and operates welding machine that weld together parts of fabricated metal products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following work instructions.
Starts machine and monitors machine controls.
Visually examines welds for adherence to specifications.
May rework defective welds, using hand-welding equipment. May remove surplus slag, flux, and spatter, using portable grinder.
Performs all safety and quality requirements.
**Other Duties may be assigned as they relate to an essential function of the position.
