Starting Band: Portishead, Sonic Youth

I've been playing guitar off and on for about 20 years, but recently committing to it. Pandemic moved me here recently from Los Angeles. Looking to put together a band. Ideally, a mixture of Portishead, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, and Sonic Youth, but why limit ourselves? Let's see what we have when we get together. I don't care how old or young you are (I'm 44), what you look like, or what gender you are. If you consider yourself an artist, embrace mistakes, love grit and texture, aren't afraid to make noise (and spacey silence), and want to make original songs send me a message. I'm newbie-friendly, so don't be afraid to say hello and tell me about yourself. guitar, bass, singer, drums, synths--let me know what you do and let's make it work! I can do some vocals, but would love to have a male/female vocal dynamic. I'm temporarily in the sticks (Howe, IN), but willing to drive for the right people.
