Pilot Property Management's Maintenance Techs respond to and complete service requests for a portfolio of apartment buildings. Unresolved maintenance items are among the top reasons people leave an apartment. The ability of the Maintenance Tech team to resolve these items is a key part of our business. As we grow our portfolio of buildings in the Seattle area, we're looking for more great people to join our team! This is a full-time, hourly position eligible for employee benefits. SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / QUALITIES - Must be able to pass a background check - Valid driver's license and clean driving record - No DUIs - Good verbal and written English communication skills - 2+ years general maintenance and repair experience - High school diploma/GED certificate preferred - Coachable and willing to be directed by supervisor - Good customer service experience - Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds and push/pull 100+ pounds - Attention to detail and pride in a job well done - Self-motivated and ability to work independently with limited supervision - Must have access to a reliable & insured personal vehicle and be able to make appointments on-time * Maintenance Techs must be able to walk, stand, squat, and remain in uncomfortable positions for periods of time necessary to accomplish tasks. This position may include exposure to grease, oil, toxins or poisonous materials, dust, loud noises, high humidity, and electrical or mechanical hazards. Additionally, Maintenance work may take place outdoors, with exposure to seasonal weather conditions. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES - Prioritize incoming maintenance requests based on immediate needs - Communicate with residents to coordinate the timing of service appointments - Complete service requests in a way that is safe, efficient, and economical - Plan and execute apartment turns to minimize vacancy time - Perform property inspections on a regular schedule - Work with property managers to ensure the physical needs of each property are being met - Ensure that all work is completed according to best practices or local building code - Perform interior and exterior painting as necessary - Change locks and make keys as necessary - Maintain a positive work environment through professional communication with residents, clients, vendors, and the property management team - Report any problems or safety concerns to Supervisors BENEFITS & PERKS Benefits include employer paid health insurance, generous PTO policy, retirement plan with 3% company match, and an annual health & wellness stipend.
