Description

How to Apply: Email a current resume and a separate cover letter. Your cover letter must clearly outline past work accomplishments (not only what you did, but how well you did it), and must use the word “Pineapple” somewhere in the cover letter. Position Overview: As a Travel Advisor, you have the enjoyment of helping people select and manage all aspects of their vacation. We are looking to add additional driven, entrepreneurial Travel Advisors to our growing team of award-winning travel professionals. You’ll not only play a crucial role in guiding guests to exceptional travel experiences; but you’ll also earn uncapped bonuses based on your ability to provide the best sales and service experience. You’ll get travel perks, a solid benefits package, and a team-oriented sales environment. This is an in-office salaried sales employment opportunity handling clients, mostly by phone and email that contact our office. You are not responsible for lead generation, only the proper selling of our services to those that contact us and servicing those clients. Travel Advisors meet and exceed personal sales targets by initiating interactions with past guests and prospects who have expressed an interest in taking a vacation. We provide the training and ongoing support, but it will be your desire to make this a career, not a job, that will bring you the greatest rewards. Successful candidates are… • Excited to Sell Vacations: Selling vacation experiences requires great listening skills to understand what matters to a guest, as well as the ability to ask for and close the sale. At times, you’ll need to be resilient in the face of rejection. You’ll also need to enjoy building relationships and looking after your guests. • Goal Oriented and Self-Motivated: To build a loyal customer base via outbound communication efforts, including calls, emails, referral development, networking, social media tools, and company hosted sales events. • Great at Time Management & Multi-Tasking: Need to manage outbound calls, follow-up on emails and leads, and manage guest communications, while creating strong relationships by putting the client first. • You Solve Problems, not Create Them. Our Office: At TravelPerks we are more than a travel agency – we help the employees of some of America’s greatest companies realize their personal vacation dreams, help non-profit organizations find new fund-raising revenue, and help our local clients have a trusted travel agency to work with. We believe the best way to be of value is to provide outstanding SAVINGS ∙ SERVICE ∙ SATISFACTION to each client. We believe in the power of relationships and that being of value to our clients, our suppliers, and our employees is how relationships are built and sustained. Our office is open seven days a week from 8am to 7pm and you must be able to work any assigned schedule that usually includes five workdays in a row, with one being a weekend day. We offer: • Uncapped, Performance-based Compensation: Compensation structure includes a base hourly wage during training. Once you’ve completed the training period, you move to a higher salaried guaranteed base plus bonuses/incentives. Ultimately, your pay is driven by your ability to sell vacations. The more you sell, the more you make. • Travel Benefits: Enjoy and experience discounted and even free vacations for you and your family. • Flexible Schedule: While we are open 7 days a week, and you need to be able to work any shift with notice, we are flexible with time off requests, lunches, etc. We also guarantee you two days off in a row, with one of those being a Saturday or Sunday, and sometimes both. • Benefits Package: Paid Time Off, a 401K program with up to 4% company match, and a supportive and progressive work environment. Health insurance is not offered at present, but may be in the future. • Professional Development: Successful Travel Advisors earn funds to cover relevant professional development reimbursement for travel and business-related courses/activities. There is a very real learning curve in the first year as selling all types of vacations to all corners of the world requires the mastery of a great deal of information, but as you sharpen your skills and build your book of clients your earnings will grow and the growth will be easier and easier. We believe in excellence. Our President was just named the #1 Cruise Agent in America for 2018, the highest honor in our industry. Do you believe in excellence through great service? Do you believe in controlling your own earnings potential? Want to feel the same passion in your career that we have for our customers? If so, we have a great opportunity for you. It’s time to love your career.
