Police ID Man Shot Dead In Port Jefferson

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Suffolk police said the man killed in a shooting in Port Jefferson Wednesday afternoon was David Bliss Jr., 25, of Shirley. Bliss Jr. was shot in front of 122 Main St. around 3:35 p.m., police said. He was found on the ground with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, police said.
