Join us for an auspicious new moon initiation on The Center SF Patio We are delighted to announce Chief Phillip will return to the Center SF to conduct a Traditional Ceremony in celebration of the arrival of Spring, the approaching new Moon and new beginnings for The Center and for all of us in this new season. We invite and encourage you to join us for this auspicious initiation. This is a Free, donation based event. A respectful donation of $34 is suggested but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Of mixed Ancestry and thrice struck by Lightning, Phillip Scott has walked the Native Path for over forty years, learning from and sanctioned by traditional Medicine/Holy people, tribal Spiritual leaders, Wisdomkeepers and Elders from several Indigenous cultures. Annually Sundancing in the Lakota tradition for over three decades and a member of the Native American Church, he is a Ceremonial leader entrusted to share Indigenous wisdom and traditional healing practices with the contemporary world. In addition to directing and teaching the programs at Ancestral Voice - Institute for Indigenous Lifeways in Northern California, which he founded in 1994, he maintains a private healing practice, performs Ceremonies. conducts intensives, gives lectures and leads pilgrimages worldwide. He is skilled in survival and primitive technologies, has received a Masters degree from Naropa University and is also a licensed EMT. This event follows the city regulations for an outdoor event and The Center SF is taking extra care and precautions to keep our community healthy. We ask that if you are feeling sick in any way that you stay home and help us keep each other safe. We ask that you wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer when it is available and wear your mask when around others. This is a limited capacity outdoor event and we have staff on hand to ensure everyone is socially distant to enjoy the ceremony safely. Our staff is also sanitizing all surfaces regularly and self checking daily. Yes, we can come back to community. And yes, we can do it safely.
