Blaze Injures Firefighter, Causes $350K In Damage: Report

CLINTON, MD — A Monday morning blaze burned a firefighter and displaced six Clinton residents, officials said. An incident report added that the fire caused $350,000 in damage. Crews noted that the fire started around 5:51 a.m. in the 11100 block of Tippett Road. First responders reported finding the one-story, single-family home engulfed in flames when they arrived. The write-up informed that the injured firefighter went to an unnamed hospital. The crew member's injury was minor, the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department advised. Officials explained that two occupants escaped. The other four residents were not home, the department clarified. The Prince George's County Office of Emergency Management is helping the affected residents, all of whom are adults, the report concluded.
