MILFORD, CT — The Milford community and beyond is rallying to offer assistance to the family of Michael Krotki, 36, who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 95 in Orange Sunday night. A GoFundMe page has led to more than $15,000 being donated to assist the family. According to the GoFundMe page it states, "I never imagined I'd be sitting here trying to figure out what to type for something like this... I know so many people love Mike so much and have some of the best memories with him. I've never met someone so quick to drop everything he had going on just to help out someone else. He has the biggest heart and would have done anything for anyone. I'm hoping now is our chance to help give back to him. If you can, please donate to help alleviate the costs of his funeral for his family. Thank you so much." Krotki was involved in a three-vehicle accident at 8:45 p.m. near Exit 41. State Police have said that the motorcycle Krotki was driving struck the rear end of a vehicle and was thrown off the bike into the roadway. He was then struck and killed by a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman. State police troopers are continuing to investigate the crash. Krotki was a 2002 graduate of Joseph A. Foran High School. He was most currently employed by YB Realty. "Michael had many interests such as hiking, skiing, mountain biking, going to the beach and riding his motorcycle, but most important of all was spending time with family and friends," according to his obituary via Cody White Funeral Home. "He loved to sing out loud and make people laugh, especially with his infamous facial expressions and dance moves." >>>Click here to view the GoFundMe page. GoFundMe is a Patch partner.
