NEWARK, NJ — The Newark Board of Education held a meeting on Wednesday, outlining the budget for the upcoming school year.
School Business Administrator Valerie Wilson said that – for this year only – the tax levy is going to be held flat (see below chart).
School taxes make up one part of a resident's property taxes, in addition to county and municipal levies.
