**Please apply at: Diamond-Y Deliveries is an Amazon XL Delivery Service Partner that delivers large to x-large packages on-time to customers safely and without damage. Position Details: Our company is currently looking for dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented team players to deliver L/XL packages. Delivery routes are performed by 2 person teams, to ensure safe and timely deliveries. Company 16ft/24ft box trucks are provided. Some locations require cargo van deliveries for a limited time before moving onto box truck team delivery routes. Salary: Delivery Helper: $15/hr. (Requires a Standard Iowa Driver's License) Delivery Driver: Starting $16.50/hr. for 30 days, then $17/hr. - (Required to obtain the "Class-D #2 Chauffeur Licensing" or higher and a "DOT Medical Certification Card") Training: JJ Keller truck driver training - 18hrs Amazon delivery training - 7hrs (All trainings will be paid your hourly rate.) Duties, Responsibilities, & Physical Requirements -Following delivery driving routes and meet delivery schedules, while always driving and operating your delivery vehicle safely and efficiently. (Follow D.O.T. regulations and safety standards.) _Loading/unloading, preparing, inspecting for mechanical items, and check for safety concerns on the delivery vehicle. -Complete logs and reports for daily route inspections, collect/verify delivery instructions and customer intake information per delivery (as needed). -Excellent organizational and time management skills. -Use handheld device for routing information, customer delivery information, following specific GPS routes for your truck size, and scanning of packages. -Report defects, accidents, or violations. -Able to consistently lift packages over 50lbs with assistance from a team member or equipment. Some packages may require a team lift or going up and down flights of stairs. -Operate and maintain control of a 16ft/24ft box truck in all weather and road conditions for an extensive amount of time. -Stand, sit, stretch, kneel, crouch, get in/out of the box trucks and walk up/down flights of stairs without restraint or difficulty. -Able to adapt to unexpected situations (Traffic, weather conditions, route changes, hours flexibility, road construction, etc.) -Perform daily tasks without supervision. -Extensive knowledge of applicable box truck driving rules and regulations. (Will train) -Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g., at rush hour, accidents, officer inspections, etc.) -Renewing and maintaining an active Iowa Driver’s License and DOT Medical Certification Card. (As needed.) -Keeping up to date on policy and procedure changes, scheduling, bonus’s and other news by reviewing company email correspondences. -Take quality photos of packages left in safe locations with the customer for verification of deliveries. Basic Requirements: -Eligible to work in the U.S. -Must meet age requirements. (Driver- 21yrs+ / Helper- 18yrs+) -Have a Valid Standard Iowa Driver’s License or higher. (No recent moving or driving violations.) -High School Diploma/GED - Able to lift packages that are 50lbs+ with necessary equipment/teammate assistance; without physical restrictions. - Reliable transportation. - Available for early morning shifts between 4:00am and 5:00am for 10hrs; 4 days a week.
