Santa Cruz County Vets Can Get COVID-19 Vaccines At Area Clinics

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Santa Cruz County veterans of all ages who are enrolled in the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at area VA clinics. Appointments are necessary. The VA's Capitola clinic is not currently offering COVID-19 vaccines, but Santa Cruz County veterans may make appointments at the following clinics: Palo Alto: Palo Alto VA Medical Center (3801 Miranda Ave.); first dose clinics on March 25 and 30San Jose: San Jose VA Clinic (5855 Silver Creek Valley Place)Marina: Major General William H. Gourley VA-DoD Outpatient Clinic (201 9th St.); March 27 Veterans' caregivers are also eligible for a vaccine, so long as they are registered in the VA Caregiver Support Program, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Vets and registered caregivers can call 650-496-2535 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays to set up an appointment.
