Teaching humans. Training dogs. Growing together.
Come join us as we learn from experienced dog trainer, Eric Temple, how to steer our dogs away from undesirable behaviors, all while the humans enjoy treats from Blackbird Donuts and our furry friends are rewarded with their own treats supplied by Polkadog Bakery.
Training will be from 12:30-1:30pm, with a professional photographer onsite to take a portrait of you and your pups before or after the training session.
Eric will touch on the following "undesirable" behaviors and offer tips and tricks that will help correct them:
How to get your dog to stop "pulling on leash" so muchGetting your dog to listen/pay attention/come when called when outside or in the presence of distractionsPrevent jumping when meeting new people Easing Separation anxiety3 simple commands to teach (Come, Sit, Stay)How play can be used as an outlet to satisfy the dogs wants and needs.*Eric Temple has been a professional dog trainer for 4 years. He has two amazing dogs; Oscar is a 5 year old Pitbull/Chihuahua mix who's a very stoic, yet playful guy and Stella is a year and a half old Boxer who is an absolute goofball and full of energy. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and boating with his wife, Oscar, and Stella.
The majority of his training and interactions with dogs comes from a foundation based in PLAY. Dogs are such an important and integral part of our lives and his goal is to help families bring the best out of their pet companion while creating a fun, clear, and cooperative relationship.
