Woonsocket Teens Held Without Bail In Murder Of 17-Year-Old Girl

WOONSOCKET, RI — Two of the three Woonsocket teenagers accused of killing a 17-year-old girl were arraigned in Providence County Superior Court Wednesday, where they were tried as adults and held without bail, reported NBC 10 WJAR. Craig Robinson and Quinton St. Pierre, both age 19, pleaded not guilty one count of murder each and multiple gun and assault charges. The third suspect in the case, Jose Ortiz Martinez, was previously indicted on a murder charge. Prosecutors say Robinson and St. Pierre were involved in the murder of NyAsia Williams-Thomas, who was found slumped over the steering wheel of a car on December 4, 2019. She was rushed to Landmark Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Although the defendants were juveniles at the time of the crime, Rhode Island Family Court waived jurisdiction over them, allowing them to be tried as adults. Robinson and St. Pierre are due back in court at a later date.
