Transportation expert brings 23 years of experience and industry involvement, including work with LA Metro and Caltrans Gwendolen Gray joined HNTB Corporation as project controls director and vice president. She focuses on project controls for the firm’s current and future complex infrastructure work, as well as community relations and engagement in the firm’s West Division. She is based in HNTB’s downtown Los Angeles office. “Gwen brings significant experience and expertise in transportation and public transit to our growing team of professionals,” said Wayne Feuerborn, HNTB West Division president. “Her leadership, talent and involvement in local and national professional organizations further supports our firm’s commitment to the industry, our communities and our clients. Gwen’s personal advocacy to help young professionals grow their careers is admirable.” Gray’s 23 years of infrastructure experience includes program management, compliance management, program development and strategic planning for capital, railroad, bridges and highway infrastructure projects. At HNTB, she continues her previous work with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and California Department of Transportation. Prior to joining HNTB, Gray owned and operated her own consulting firm and before that, served as program management consultant for a national engineering firm. Throughout her career, Gray has served on numerous professional association boards and committee leadership positions. She currently serves on the national board of directors for the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials. Her involvement includes serving as chair of the Historically Underutilized Business Committee; member of the Legislative Advisory Council Committee and Program Planning Committee; and Executive Advisory board and past president for COMTO’s Southern California Chapter. For COMTO’S Philadelphia chapter, Gray previously served as financial secretary and strategic planning chair. Additionally, she is a member of the Construction Management Association of America, WTS International, and the American Public Transportation Association where she serves on the Small Business Committee. Gray is an alumnus of the ENO Transit Senior Executive Program. She attended Cabrini University in Radnor, Penn.
