Our workshop equips you with the skills to create a PBL unit customized for your students, and designed around standards and Employability Skills (21st Century Skills). This workshop is a great fit for K-16 educators, instructional coaches, and administrators! This Open PBL Workshop will be held July 26-28, 2021 at Neosho Middle School in Neosho, MO. The workshop daily hours will be from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Lunch will be provided. You'll join with other educators to learn the nuts and bolts of PBL through fully interactive workshop sessions! PBL Certified facilitators will guide you as you create your own Project Based Learning unit. You will leave the three-day workshop with a fully vetted, standards-based PBL project you are ready to implement with confidence! Plus you'll have the processes and structures to create future projects. PBL ADVANCED | Completed Jumpstart, one year of PBL implementation If you have already completed our PBL Jumpstart workshop, you will enjoy this next step into PBL Advanced, as you drive your own learning process through your Need to Knows. You will learn how to create deeper learning experiences for students, fine-tune current PBL units, develop another PBL unit, and establish the basics of earning PBL Certification. PBL CERTIFICATION | Completed Jumpstart & Advanced, two years of PBL implementation Educators with at least two years of PBL experience will work with a PBL Certified facilitator, who will guide and support the start of their PBL Certification work during the three-day workshop. This workshop will clarify what is required to complete the PBL Certification process. It will also provide applicants with immediate support and clarification of all materials needed to validate authentic PBL classroom work. ADD ON | FOLLOW UP GROUP COACHING SESSIONS |Open to PBL Jumpstart and PBL Advanced Workshop Attendees As you implement PBL in your classroom, follow-up group coaching sessions can assist you with the PBL process in real time! Coaching sessions are an opportunity to get new “Need to Knows” answered. Coaching is vital to the sustainability of PBL, and is recommended as part of an effective implementation plan. Tip: If you are purchasing coaching sessions for more than one participant, multiply the number of participants by the number of sessions per person, to get your order quantity.
